Iona University Scholars Day

Iona Scholars Day (ISD) is an annual event to celebrate the scholarship and creative activities performed by Iona students. The day showcases faculty-mentored student work and allows students in all disciplines to recognize and appreciate each other’s work through oral presentations, panel sessions, performances, and poster presentations. All students are encouraged to engage in scholarly and creative work with faculty, and share their work with the Iona community. ISD projects may be initiated as part of a course or as independent collaborations with faculty. More information from the Iona College website here.

The ITPS was pleased to participate in ISD 2022, as former ITPS interns Gabriela Barreiro and Emily Varker participated in the “Exploring History Through Digital Humanities” panel. Both Gabriela and Emily previously participated as Digital Humanities interns as part of the collaboration between the ITPS and the Center for Digital History, Fred W. Smith Library, Mount Vernon.
